Sifted is a photography and video studio that creates bold, narrative-driven visuals to strengthen brand identity. We partner with ambitious brands that take the work seriously— and want a team that does, too.

Our approach is guided by two principals:

‍We show up as collaborators, not vendors. After 15 years in the industry, we know creative leads are stretched thin, so we focus on relieving their work load, not adding to it. We keep the process clear and human, building trust through steady communication and a shared sense of ownership. When we’re in, we’re all in—transparent, proactive, and genuinely invested in doing great work together.

‍At the core: respect for the assignment. We set our egos aside and take the time to understand the brand, the brief, and the team— ensuring that we are meeting their unique aesthetic and marketing needs. From social to billboards, we give every project equal weight. We translate the ask into focused, thoughtful work that’s as considered as it is creative.

Vanessa Rees

Vanessa Rees is a photographer and director with a love for bold, story-driven visuals.
‍
Vanessa is equal parts Virgo and Libra— type-A with an unapologetic love for visuals. That mix of color-coded spreadsheets and aesthetics is what led her to start Sifted Studio, a space built to bring ideas to life in an intentional, grounded way.

Since starting her career, she’s created work for brands like Lyft, American Express, and Oatly, along with plenty of start ups she believes in. Her approach stays the same no matter who she’s shooting for: respect the assignment, respect the people, and deliver work that holds up.

MJ Lat is a director and cinematographer with over a decade of experience in advertising.

Before diving into the world of commercials, MJ built a solid foundation in documentary filmmaking, honing her ability to capture genuine human stories. This background continues to influence her approach to advertising, bringing authenticity and depth to her visuals.

MJ's career has taken her to diverse locations, from the deserts of Jordan to the streets of Singapore. She has worked with top brands such as Nike, Cadillac, American Express, Adidas, et al., helping to elevate their visual presence across various media platforms.
